Let the creative juices roll

Today I went to the Hob Lob with my friend Vicki. I've been super excited lately about the ideas I've had and the projects I want to complete. These projects are mostly for kiddos as Christmas presents. Anyways, I went to Hob Lob and bought all colors of felt, thread, a bag of buttons, stuffing and other crafty goodness. See......
Look at all the fun colors and prints!

We also went to Borders and I found this really cute book on how to make little stuffed "mascots" (that's what the book calls them.) So here are my end results. These are a gift for my best friends little girl. I'm going to try them out on her and if successful, lord help us all......there will be felt madness at my house. Poor Brady!
The yellow/polka-dot thing is a monster, then there is the little brown dog with a purple spot and then there is the letter V. It's for a little boy I know whose name starts with a V.....who could that be??
This is the adorable little brown puppy with the purple spot, that is his name. I'm going to make up a little story to go along with the monster and the dog to let the gift recipient know who they are.....

Tomorrow I'll tell ya'll about my adventure to the Goodwill. Oh yeah, I'm also going to try and learn how to knit. I've got plenty of time on my hands, don't you think?

Okay, too cute! Charly, when I open Baby Guppy, my online modern baby store, I'm totally selling your stuff! And, the boy who starts with V is very excited about his craft. Lovey!

Ummm...I'm hoping that you're going to make an "E" for someone that we know who's name is a town in OK. She's almost a human.

I need to give you all my crafty stuff. It's just collecting dust in my spare bedroom right now. I really admire your craftiness, though! I keep saying that I'll scrapbook again one day, but I doubt that day will ever come.

Have you ever seen the site etsy.com? You could find some great ideas on there (including--no lie--a uterus "mascot" to help with fertility!).

I love etsy! I just discovered it last week and I'm freakin' obsessed. There are some AWESOME craft/handmade blogs out there....soulemama, angry chicken, and then some. Those are my favorites though.
Yeah, I was once into the scrapbooking thing, but I like crafting items that I can just go with the flow on.
